Hudson Headwaters Welcomes Women’s Health Specialist, Elizabeth Cooney, MD
Hudson Headwaters Health Network is pleased to announce that women’s health specialist Elizabeth Cooney, MD, has joined our North Country Obstetrics & Gynecology group.
Dr. Cooney graduated from McGill University in Quebec, Canada, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physiology. She received her Doctorate of Medicine degree from the Stony Brook University of Medicine in New York and completed her OB/GYN residency program at Christiana Care Health Services in Delaware, followed by additional training in minimally invasive surgery and robotics in Seattle.
Elizabeth Cooney is originally from the area and is a graduate of South Glens Falls High School. “It’s wonderful to be back home and caring for women throughout our community,” Cooney said, as she returns from her Fellowship in Seattle. “Hudson Headwaters and my new colleagues have been incredibly welcoming, and I’m excited to get started.”
“We are delighted to have Elizabeth joining the team,” said Dr. Danielle Goertzen, lead physician for North Country OB/GYN. “We are continuing to grow our practice in order to make comprehensive women’s health care services accessible in our communities.”
Dr. Cooney will care for patients throughout the community, at three area offices: 90 South Street in Glens Falls, West Mountain Health Services in Queensbury, and the Warrensburg Health Center.
