Two nurses at Hudson Headwaters

Welcome to Hudson Headwaters

Hudson Headwaters cares for residents and visitors in the Adirondack, Lake George and Glens Falls regions of Upstate New York – a region of more than 5,600 square miles. Our growth, progress and success depend on our staff – people with initiative, creativity, enthusiasm and compassion, working in an atmosphere of mutual respect. Each staff member is important and directly contributes to the organization’s goal – to serve the sick and injured and promote wellness: to provide the best care, and access to that care, for everyone in our communities. With 18 health facilities and many programs, we have close ties to each of the communities we serve. Those who join us quickly learn that the job requires skills and capabilities, yes, but also the passion to bring excellent customer service to all patients and clients.

Student and Training Opportunities

Thank you for considering Hudson Headwaters as a potential site to pursue additional training opportunities. Hudson Headwaters is committed to training health care providers in our health centers.

Advanced Practice Clinician Residency Program

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the “HHHN Advanced Practice Clinician Residency Program in Integrated Primary Health Care.”  With the development of this residency, Hudson Headwaters has joined the growing number of health care institutions across the country that are developing advanced training programs for recently graduated FNPs and PAs.  The demands of full scope family practice can be overwhelming for recent graduates.  The residency program will provide a structured education experience with both mentored and precepted clinics for two residents starting in September 2020.  This twelve month program is structured to increase APC clinical competence and confidence. If you are seeking to pursue additional training as an advanced practice clinician, please complete our Advanced Practice Clinician Residency Program Application. The deadline to apply is April 1st.

Clinical Rotations for Students/Observations

Thank you for thinking of Hudson Headwaters as a potential site for your clinical rotation or observation experience.  It is our policy to provide a limited number of these experiences based on the availability of our preceptors.  Please understand that we need to give priority to Hudson Headwaters employees who are continuing their education and professional partner entities. If you are seeking a clinical educational experience, please complete our Student Application.
