About Samantha Herman, PNP
Samantha loves working in pediatrics and has wanted to work with children since she was a teen herself. After helping to care for sick family members, she realized that nursing was likely her calling. Once she started working in the emergency department, she realized that parents used the ER as an extension of their primary care pediatrician, often because they did not get the education or proper attention at their clinic. This prompted her to pursue a career as a primary care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and work with some of the same types of patients that she helped in the ER.
Samantha believes in approaching the family as a whole. She enjoys teaching her patients and families how to care for and advocate for themselves.
Outside of work, you can find Samantha spending time with her foster children, family and two cats. She loves attending touring musicals or shows and is a huge fan of Halloween. She also enjoys conferences and trainings.
