Hudson Headwaters Announces Soft Opening of Pharmacy in Malone

The NYS Board of Pharmacy has approved the opening of Hudson Headwaters Pharmacy at Malone, located at 24 Fourth Street inside the new Malone Family Health.

As required by New York State, the pharmacy must open to begin securing participation with commercial insurance, Medicare and Medicaid. During the soft open phase, the Pharmacy at Malone is self-pay. Medicaid approval is pending and may take up to six months. Participation with Medicare and commercial payers should be sooner. Individuals may call the pharmacy for a current list of accepted insurance plans.

Pharmacy hours are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The pharmacy is closed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. Automated phone and website systems are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Pharmacy at Malone is part of the Malone Family Health primary care facility that recently opened in March 2026 on the University of Vermont Health Alice Hyde Medical Center campus. Hudson Headwaters has served the Malone community since December 2023 when it opened Family Health at Malone, which the new, expanded facility replaced.

The pharmacy in Malone is the Network’s third; Hudson Headwaters Pharmacy at Moreau opened in 2024 and Pharmacy at Salem soft opened in March 2026.
