Community Day in Queensbury. Come Join the Fun!

The public is invited to an Open House and Community Day from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday, August 6th at Hudson Headwaters’ West Mountain Health Services Campus on Carey Road in Queensbury. The event is part of Hudson Headwaters’ 35th anniversary celebration, and kicks off National Health Center Week.

“We want to give people a chance to see our newest health center and to get to know Hudson Headwaters a little better,” said John Rugge, MD, CEO. “We’ll be offering fun for the whole family, booths with local not-for-profits, and our own important services such as sliding fee and financial assistance programs. We’ll have food, ice cream, bouncy bounce, tours of our newest health center, and much more.”

Hudson Headwaters operates two health centers at the West Mountain Health Services location in Queensbury, which also includes its administrative headquarters. Building 2, which opened at the beginning of year, is dedicated to primary care, including behavioral health and lab services. Building 1 offers specialty services including dermatology, infectious disease, nephrology, orthopedics, podiatry and rheumatology. “These two facilities are vital to the health care of the region, together logging more than 26,500 patient visits in the first six months of this year,” Rugge said.

Rugge said that he hopes people from Queensbury/Glens Falls and the surrounding areas will come to see the new health center that day and join the fun.

Here’s the WMHS Community Day Flyer with details.

Hudson Headwaters is a not-for-profit, community-based network of 17 health centers serving the Adirondack North Country and Glens Falls Region since 1981.  Its services include comprehensive primary care, obstetrics and gynecology, behavioral health, dentistry, lab, imaging and more.
