Finnick Hakamaki, PA-C Physician Assistant

Finnick was drawn to Hudson Headwaters by his passion for providing quality care to underserved areas and his desire to work for a Federally Qualified Health Center. He grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and has learned that the North Country is not much different from that region.

Although he originally wanted to be a dentist, Finnick calls his decision to apply to PA school the “best and most fulfilling decision I’ve ever made.” He truly feels this career path is his calling.

Finnick emphasizes the importance of educating his patients about their health and thinks every patient should be involved in and understand their disease/condition state as much as possible so they can make autonomous and educated decisions regarding their care.

Outside of work, Finnick enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, camping, metal detecting, gardening and exploring new places. He loves learning about the history of new locations and finding old artifacts to add to his collections.
