Emily Hammond, RN, CDCES Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist

Emily was drawn to the field of nutrition and diabetes education because she wanted a career that focused more on prevention versus treatment. She tends to be an examiner and planner, so helping people examine their health habits, evaluate how those habits are affecting their diabetes and come up with a plan to change them seemed like the perfect career.

She wants her patients to think of her as an open-minded, interested, compassionate professional who is going to work with them unconditionally.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys submerging herself in nature with a walk or spending time on the water. She also loves dancing and dining, enjoying family and friends and making memories.
