Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff and inaugural residents, the program continues to evolve and grow, setting a high bar for providing comprehensive and compassionate care to all patients.”

The residency program was established in 2023 and has filled all available residency positions in its first two years. The program earned full accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), demonstrating effective educational and clinical experiences, and implementation of current and best practices in the field. Residents see patients at several Saratoga Hospital locations, including the main campus, Saratoga Hospital Community Health Center, and the Backstretch Clinic at the Saratoga Race Course, as well as at Hudson Headwaters Glens Falls Family Health and Ticonderoga Health Center. The program is designed to provide residents with excellent clinical training in both hospital and ambulatory medicine, with a special emphasis on behavioral health, addiction treatment, population and community health, rural health and state-of-the-art technology.
