Hudson Headwaters Physicians Honored as United Heroes

QUEENSBURY, NY (September 28, 2022) – Three physicians of Hudson Headwaters Health Network were recently presented with UnitedHealthcare United Hero awards.

Those honored included Michael Adams M.D., a family medicine physician practicing out of Moreau Family Health and out of Urgent Care in Warrensburg, Ephraim Back, M.D., M.P.H., a family medicine physician at Ticonderoga Health Center and Suzanne Bergin, D.O., internal medicine and primary care physician, who sees patients at Warrensburg Health Center. Dr. Back also serves as Hudson Headwaters’ chief of clinical initiatives and Dr. Bergin is Hudson Headwaters’ associate chief medical officer.

“The recognition from UnitedHealthcare is especially meaningful because it is solely based on patient feedback,” said Linda Spokane, Hudson Headwaters’ vice president of population health. “Dr. Adams, Dr. Back and Dr. Bergin are deserving of this accomplishment as they consistently demonstrate outstanding efforts to provide high-quality, patient-centered, community-based primary and preventive care to all patients.”

Award recipients were chosen based on feedback on the UnitedHealthcare patient experience surveys that cover the following areas: getting needed care (scheduling an appointment, wait times, ease of referrals), care coordination (awareness of consult notes from other specialists, prescription medication review, follow-up after ordered tests) and doctor-patient conversations.
