Face Mask Resources

To help control the spread of COVID-19, Governor Cuomo has issued an Executive Order requiring that all people in New York wear a mask or face covering when out in public and in situations when social distancing cannot be maintained. Below is a list of organizations that are distributing face masks and/or face coverings.

Essex County Office for the Aging
The office for the Aging has received 5,000 cloth masks to distribute to older adults in Essex County. If you are in need of a cloth mask, please call 518-873-3695.

Indian Lake and Blue Mountain Lake
Face masks will be available free of charge starting Friday, April 17 at Pines Country Store in the hamlet of Indian Lake and in the vestibule of the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts in the hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake. It will be limited to one mask per individual while supplies are available.

Additional contributions of face masks from other individuals and organizations are welcomed and needed. Mask contributions should be dropped off at Pines Country Store and will be distributed in individually sealed packages.

Has a limited supply of masks only for residents who receive meals on wheels and need to go out into the public for dialysis or medical necessity appointments.

Glens Falls Residents
The City of Glens Falls has received 4,500 face masks which it will be distributing to essential service workers. The remaining masks will available for the public while supplies last at all city Stewart’s Shops and Cumberland Farms, along with the Broad Street Hannaford and Doheny’s market.

Town of Chester
The Town of Chester has received 1,000 cotton face masks for distribution to the community.  They are available at the Transfer Station and the Town Hall while supplies last.

Washington County Residents
Face coverings are still available for individuals and/or organizations and businesses in Washington County.

They are asked to submit the following information via email to:

  • Organization/entity name (if applicable)
  • Contact name/phone number/email address
  • Number of face coverings requested

Washington County hopes to respond to requests within 24 hours and coordinate pickup from the Municipal Center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Face coverings will not be mailed.

Saratoga County Residents:
All Saratoga County Towns were given 70,000 face masks last week. Towns will be responsible for distribution. Residents should contact their local town to get a face mask. Saratoga County is working to set up a drive-thru event for face masks.

Town of Moreau:
The town of Moreau has cloth masks available for residents at Town Hall, Monday – Friday 8:00 am and 4:00 pm while supplies last. Please call ahead at (518) 792-1030, Ext. 6, and the masks will be provided to you upon arrival.

Saratoga Springs High School
Masks will be available for pickup at Saratoga Springs High School on Friday, May 15th from 10:00 am until noon or until supplies run out.
