About Tara Cornell, NPP

Tara has been a psychiatric nurse for more than 15 years and loves working with people with mental health needs. She has found that mental health is often undervalued and underappreciated, and she chose to go into this field to destigmatize psychiatric care and instill hope in others.

Tara believes in patient-centered care and finding a treatment regimen that patients feel comfortable implementing on their road to wellness. When caring for the mental health needs of others, Tara uses a trauma-informed approach and considers that all health care needs must be individualized to each and every patient. She understands that achieving mental wellness is not always easy and feels that providing support and empathy for patients is essential.

Outside of work, Tara enjoys traveling to new places, spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, hiking and reading.
