Kailene Jones, FNP Family Nurse Practitioner

Kailene was born and raised in the greater Capital Region of New York. She obtained her nursing degree in Buffalo, NY and began her career back home at Albany Medical Center. She worked in various departments including pediatrics, the neonatal intensive care unit and the emergency department. During the pandemic, she spent time working in New York City at NYU Langone in the neonatal intensive care unit. She then pursued her master’s degree in nursing at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. In 2022, shortly after graduating, Kailene relocated to the North Country and started her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Hudson Headwaters.

Kailene specializes and takes pride in caring for patients of all ages. She is driven by the challenges of rural medicine and is grateful for the appreciation her patients have shown her. Of her approach to care, Kailene says, “I am my patients’ biggest advocate. I will always try to go the extra mile to make sure they get the care they need and deserve. I truly value being attentive and thorough in my approach to care and take pride in building trusting relationships with my patients.”

Outside of work, Kailene enjoys working on home projects with her spouse and spending time with family, friends and her counter-surfing chocolate lab, Odin.
