Medical Assistant
Prepares the patient by obtaining pain level, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, height/weight, date of last menstrual period, general history and chief complaint. Collects specimens (urine, throat, swab, blood) when appropriate and completes required requisitions and logs appropriately. Reconciliation of medication list including documentation for any medication refills with patient to determine post office visit needs and informs provider accordingly. Review and update appropriate health history with patient and update accordingly at each visit.
