    Hudson Headwaters to Hold 3rd Annual Bicycling Event

    Hudson Headwaters Health Network and The Hub have scheduled the third annual “Ride for the Well of It,” a charity bicycling event to be held on Saturday June 25th, featuring riding options of 17, 30, and 50 miles. All rides begin and end at The Hub, located at 27 Market Street in Brant Lake. Starting times are 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, depending on the distance to be cycled.

    The three options are “The Casual” a 17-mile out and back along the scenic northwestern shore of Brant Lake that takes riders to the stunning views of Brant Lake and Three Brothers Mountains from the bridge at the lake’s northernmost point; “The Fitness,” a 30-mile ride that takes cyclists along the northwestern shore of Brant Lake before looping through Pottersville and Adirondack and back; and “The Aerobic,” a 50-mile loop to Olmstedville that takes riders back through Pottersville, the East Shore of Schroon Lake, and Adirondack before returning to The Hub along the northwestern shore of Brant Lake.

    The Casual and Fitness rides are along gently rolling terrain and suitable for casual riders. The Aerobic follows much of the same terrain, but also features more challenging climbs. A

    ll rides are fully supported and include lunch. The 50-mile option starts at 9:00AM and the 30 and 17 mile options begin at 10:00AM. Lunch and a health fair await the rider’s return.

Registration fees will be discounted for teams of four or more. All proceeds will benefit Hudson Headwaters Health Network, a not-for-profit system of 17 community health centers that serves the Adirondack and Lake George Region.
